Armand

Armand
The Apostle John wrote how it did his heart good to hear that his children were doing well. Perhaps it will do your heart good to hear a short testimony of a modern day "apostle", Armand.

Linda Mensinger shares news from Cameroon where they have been teaching classes in our churches for the past several weeks.
"After two weeks we left Garoua, boarded a bus and took the 5 hour trip to Ngaoundere. Again we were met by a group from our main church who had a taxi waiting to take us and all of our luggage to Daniel's place.

Daniel and his wife are fairly new Christians. Armand, our church president here in Cameroon, stayed with him during one of the conferences a couple of years ago and led Daniel to the Lord. They are in our main church here at Ngaoundere and even though he is a very busy business man he attended Eddie's classes faithfully. Pray for Daniel and Monique as they continue to grow in the Lord.

It seemed like our week in Ngaoundere flew by and very soon it was time to take the train to Yaounde. Armand caught up with us as we got ready to go to the train. He along with the Pastor of the church at Ngaoundere had spent most of the week in Garoua at the book conference where Greg Burgess and Harry Walker were giving out the book sets; consequently they were not able to help us in the classes at Ngaoundere. Armand usually co-teaches with Eddie, but he had to do it all by himself at Ngaoundere.

Our train ride to Yaounde went well. We had a sleeping car for 4. Eddie and I and Armand were in one car along with a Muslim man. He was very nice. The only bad thing about it was that his perfume made me sneeze, but I guess I finally got used to it and the sneezing stopped. I think all of us slept pretty well during the night and we arrived at Yaounde where we had good classes at the Camp Sonel Church. I had a nice group of women. They thanked me for coming and teaching them by giving me a new African dress, some eggs and two bottles of peanuts. Eddie has taken possession of the peanuts, his favorite snack. As usual, Armand was a great help co-teaching with Eddie.

We leave tomorrow on the bus for Douala where we will be for 9 days having classes with our churches. There are problems in our Douala Churches and we are very thankful that Armand, President of our Cameroon Churches, will be going with us.

· Pray with us that some of these can be settled and that there will be a good turn out for classes.

· Praise God for the good teaching Armand received in our schools in the CAR

· Pray for more missionaries for Cameroon

· Pray for good spiritual health among the churches and for more opportunities for them to have classes

· Pray for the Mensingers as they fly to CAR on Feb. 18th to hold classes in Bangui for the next month.
